what are my battery options?
I had the first sign of my stock battery going bad , not enough to start the Jeep this morning.
I have no idea why it would have lost the juice overnight....really weird...but any way. I would like to upgrade the battery to a dry cell (I'm sure the winch had something to do with this one going out) but $200. is out of range so that kills the Optima, the Odyssey, and the Die Hard.
What other options are there?
I found an "Exide Orbital 34XCD Sealed Maintenance-Free (AGM) Deep-Cycle Automotive Battery" on amozon for under $150. and that is about as high as I would like to go.

So you use a winch and you think spending $150 now is going to save you money? Not in the long run? Maybe now but then if you're going to keep replacing batteries you'll be spending more... My vote and I have one is the Odessey now that said I'd have a Sears Die Hard but can't get them here in Ontario Canada
I hate to "sound" cheap but
1. So often I see the same product rebadged and doubled in price
2. At the same time there are some products that appear to be identical but subtle differences can be found making one of them superior to the other by a measurable amount.
3. Then there are the ones that "test" the same or very close but one is cheaper simple due to their name, or lack of.
Think of all of the winch discussions and how so many of us run the XRC 8 simply because it does an adequate job at an affordable price

Get an Odyssey or the Sears AGM Platinum (made by Odyssey). I have abused the heck out of mine and it still works like new. I have killed it twice - I mean down to 3 volts dead (left my 55W work light on for a week). Charged it to 60% and the Jeep started up.
