What should be regularly serviced?
So I dropped my jeep off at the dealer today to fix the lock on the trunk which stopped working and they tried to sell me on their "15,000 mile servicing" which they wanted $400 for...
I told them no but it got me thinking.
I am at 24,000 miles and I have regularly changed oil and whatnot and I think I should change my air filter by now so I am going to buy one.
But what else? I know I need to retorque my lift setup for safety sake. Rotate the tires etc.
The "dealership service" included stuff like draining and refilling the axles/differential. Is this really necessary? Also changing the "pvc" valve and hoses.

If you have a limited slip diff and/or wheel it often I would go ahead and flush the axles, but you can do that your self and switch to synthetic for under $100... read the how to on project-jk. I think its a good idea to do the first axle flush early b/c most of the wear will come when its new and there is no filter in the axle. Once you get synthetic in there you can probably go 30-40k without worring about it (unless you submerge your axles alot offroad... if you do that you might want to just use regular gear oil and change it more often)
I wouldn't touch the automatic transmission, radiator, brake or power steering fulid unless you have been having problems.
I would also start changing the air filter every other oil change.
Some lifts recommend regreasing certain parts so you might want to look that up.

If you have an a/c unit;
check the pressure on the low side,
and clean or replace the cabin filter
with a better hepa filter.
I don't think there are any zerk fittings to
lube, unless you replaced parts with ones
that have zerk fittings.

There alot of misinformation out there. Follow the factory recommendations and be covered by the factory warranty. Save your receipts. Btw the air filter is good for 20-30K, which ever the manual says unless you're offloading.
