Default what is this on the steering linkage?

It seems like it's leaking possibly? I just don't know exactly what it is...it's in between the coolant and washer fluid and is attached to the steering rod...

Can't tell for sure, but looks to me like the top of your steering gearbox.

If so, mine has long been weeping a small amount of fluid on top also. Not enough to drip, or motivate me to do anything about it. In fact I just had to add a couple ounces of fluid after seeing this moisture for at least 26 months.

Maybe someone can chime in and tell us if it's an impending disaster.

That's the adjustment screw for the steering gear Over-Center Rotating Torque.

I would wash it off with some brake cleaner, and see if it comes back.
Check the system fluid level, too.

Thanks for clearing that up guys! I'll clean it off when I get back in town and keep an eye on it.
