2011 JK 4 door. Depending on how it rains , I sometimes get water on floorboards from leaks from driver and passenger side doors

First I'd try bug and tar remover. If that doesn't work, try something like goo gone or goof off. And if that doesn't work, use 91% isopropyl alcohol. I debadged my Jeep, used a heat gun to get and stickers off and that's what I used to get the rest of the adhesive off. Each thing got a little more off, but it was the alcohol that took it all off.

This is what I use when I replaced the T-top seals in my firebird back in the day. Worked really well even on seals/weather stripping that ha been on the car 12+years.

This^^^, but my best results for removing glues have been with lacquer thinner.

Rubbing alcohol or WD-40 will work without risk of harming the clear coat.
