Holy frost nuggets batman!!!! It was in the 70's here!!! My top and doors have been off all week but lets see how I feel when the heat turns on in a few months!! I'll need a cover just to keep from frying like an egg in the seat. My X came with a mix of stuff. I'm cool with not having power windows and locks, took the doors off anyway. It also seems to be that most of us are taking the options off our jeeps. First thing done is ditch the wheels lift the jeep change the bumpers and put in a killer stereo. Then there are the tube fender flares, winch, extra lighting...and the list goes on. Me, I’m going to make it look like Wes’s jeep...not someting that just rolled of the dc lot.

I have an 07 X.....my father-in-law "had" (he's a douche and traded it in) a sahara 07.

These were the only differences I can recall.
1-Seat fabric
2-Silver instrument cluster
3-Sahara had the 3.23 rear end, mine has the 4.10
4-Painted flares to match body
5-18" wheels w/ car tires

Every other option mine has and I paid less by 4 G's
My hood is insulated, I have infinity 7 speaker/amp, I have all power convenience options, underhood light, tint, cruise, fog lamps, tow hooks, alarm, etc.......

He would always talk smack about having a "Sahara" and mine was an "X base model", but I would just laugh because other than a friggin sticker, we had the same jeep.

I think the hoo-ey about which trim package is better between sahara/rubicon/X is kinda funny.

A JK is a JK!

Remove all the stickers (except the project JK of couse)....and get jiggy on the trails. It's not like we even leave them stock anyways!

IMO, Jeep screwed up the SAHARA when it got rid of the narly seats, and the great paint colors.
Remember when a sahara meant you either got camel tan, or that green-ish grey color. Even the forest green was nice.
The early YJ Sahara model 87-89 was a nice looking package.
