[/QUOTE]I got a good idea. Why don't you guys list your recommendations. Let's see how well they compare to the people that spend millions of dollars on research and development.

Don't always completely trust what all those research dollars buy the manufactures. An example, I had an SRT-4, owners manual calls for ATF and a friction modifier for the limited slip. Go to the trans manufacture, they call for light gear oil and no friction modifier for the LSD as it has no clutches in it and doesn't need the friction modifier to work properly, and to top it off most friction modifiers will break down ATF over time. So some times the manufacture is looking at saving a buck on the production line, as in only having one machine and one fluid type, because ATF made the transmissions survive past the warranty period and beyond most 1st owners. I know different vehicle and a manual not auto tranny, but all from mother Mopar.
Personally, I would prefer to err on the side of caution when it comes to maintenance, a tranny cooler and fluid/filter changes any time you have a hint of bunt smell or discoloration to the tranny fluid would be cheaper than having the tranny rebuilt or replaced. And less chance of getting stranded some where. just my 2c
