When does the TPMS light come on?
1. Buy TMPS Sensors to install on your new rims
2. Deal with the light from them going off
3. Buy a programmer and turn of TMPS
Okay, got the placard.
So if on my door it says 35psi is recommended, the idiot light goes on at when it drops below 28 and will turn off once it is aired back up to at least 32.
As for the spare tire. I've noticed when the rubber on the ground is aired up properly, the spare tire (even when deflated to nothing) doesn't register and trigger my TPMS.
It did this as I jacked up one tire on a recent trip and had to change it on the trail. I drove with the deflated tire in the spare location on the tailgate for over a week with less than 10psi in it. Never triggered the TPMS idiot light.
