Default Whistle noise on acceleration....

I have a 2008 Unlimited automatic with just over 51K on it. Every time I hit the gas pedal, no matter how fast I am going, i can hear a very high pitch whistling. It happens just when you first hit the pedal and stop when you are cruising... it is anytime you tap the pedal... Any thoughts?

I get this whiny noise too but only after driving a few miles. I could hear it more when the doors are off and it seems to come from the driver side somewhere. I read somewhere that when the low brake indicator thingy gets hot it rubs on the rotor? never heard of such thing, but then again I am no mechanic. Can you hear it inside the Jeep?

make sure all intake tube clamps are tight, and the tube is properly on. and make sure the air box has all 4 latches latched, and is on correctly also.

my jk does this, but i have a k&n and also the muffler on the end of the air box is off.

I'm with this guy. It was very pronounced on my Jeep until I took off my cai. I think you are hearing it because you know its there. I know I do.
