Default Whistly, windy noises...problem?

Hello everyone,

I have done a search for this,...looking back into early 07, but alas here I am.

I need to know, before I go to the dealer, if everyone has a windy (almost like a slowly blowing through a whistle) sound comming from the upper-drivers side corner of the cab, as if air is freely flowing into the jeep through a small gap.

I have the freedom top, and this has been evident since I first removed the front panels. I have since removed and replaced the panels carefully to try to stop this whistly sound but nothing.

It can become as annoying (most pronounced at speed of course) as the door-jamb rattle that is happening to the "older" JK's.

Cheers,

MMB

I'm a slow typist, so someone will probably beat me to this oft-asked question ....
But there are a good number of posts on the issue. There's also at least one TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) that I think addresses it: http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-tsb-re...ndshield-frame

I have the same whistle ... but my build date is a couple weeks latter than the TSB.

There's also another, more recent TSB http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-tsb-re...dshield-header , that sounds even more like your issue -- but it's specifically for the sunrider soft top, not the freedom top.

Hope that's of some help ammunition-wise when you go to the dealer.
