why is my TPMS stuck on?
I usually run my tires around 32psi,just on the threshold of setting setting off the alarms. So when it came on yesterday I really wasn't that shocked because it has done it in the past. Usually I can inflate the tires back up to 40 and the light goes off and then I slowly let them back down to 32 over the next day or so. But this time it didn't work....I checked the spare and it had dropped down to 30 so I filled all 5 up to 42 psi but even after driving over a hundred miles it is still on. Any ideas????????
I checked for codes and all is clear.

It is strange. I recently had my rims replaced at Discount Tire and they filled the tires to 32 PSI. I drove off with out looking and noticed my warning light on just as I was entering the highway. Took next exit and returned to tire place. Checked and found the 32 PSI. Had them fill tires to 35 and light went out. Maybe you have a bad sensor. You can try airing all tires down to around 25 PSI then back up to 35 PSI and see what happens.
Good idea, I'll try dropping them down in the morning. I'm getting new tires and wheels next month and I really don't want to deal with the hassle of going to the dealer to get one replaced (warrente) and then go to the other shop to have them taken out and put into the new wheels...
I aired mine up to 38 one time after wheeling and the light stayed on. I had to go to the dealership for something else (cylinder head repair under warranty) and asked them to make sure I didn't smash a sensor while wheeling. Service tech said if you set pressure too high light will come on. He said set below 37 and should go off, did that and it's fine, light went off.
I fought this issue for some time. The only way to get the light to go off was to air up around 40 PSI. I fixed the issue by reprogramming with an AEV programmer. I set the threshold to about 28 PSI and now I can air up to 32 with light going off.

no luck on the air down-up. I even tried pulling the Neg. cable for 10 seconds....I've set them back down to 35 PSI and will work on the logistics of the tire and wheel swap.
FYI I will be ditching the stockers in favor of the XD Enduros in a 15" X 9" with the Duratracs in a 33"X12.5".

After starting the engine, does the TPMS lamp come on blinking for about 30 seconds then go solid, or no blinking and just on solid?
If it's blinking then goes to solid on, it's probably a communication interference problem. Remove any programmers, GPS, wireless devices, stuff on the dashboard, etc. and try again. Had this happen to me and it was a Diablosport Trinity programmer which proved to be an expensive pain in the backside (but that's another story).

Do the key on off trick and see if you get any codes. Here are some codes for tire pressure sensor failures (got them from Quadratech site).
