Why would my timing show 56 degrees retarded?
You can see my other thread on here "LOUD exhaust, missfire code, no power"
It had lost all power, CE light flashing, engine got really loud. I replaced the cats, one came out in a pile of soot, replaced a bad O2 sensor, it started and seemed OK at first, then the CE light again, then it flashed a few times, then stopped, Autozone pulled a random misfire code, and something about a voltage on a O2 sensor, recommended to replace EGR valve. Did it, no change, we plugged my buddies "Real" scanner and it showed the engine retarded 56 degrees??
How did that happen?
How do I fix it?
