Smile wind noise and door rattle fix

Lots of wind noise at top corner of windshield drivers side . Took awhile but found the bolt that I belive hold the windshield frame together was falling out.
If you are in the drivers seat there are two access holes on the upper left side of the plastic trim. The top one has a 14mm bolt in it and it was vry loose. I tightened it and wind noise gone. MAGIC????
Thanks for the info on wrapping the door latche with electrical tape. Two wraps on four doors and no more body ratles or groaning while off roading.

Thanks fulltimer I've had the same problem and sure enough the top bolt was loose. I've tightened it but haven't had a chance to try it out.

my opinion, the electrical tape is only a temporary fix... you should probably adjust the door latch inward a bit. should give the same result but permanent

and welcome to the site!! you'll love it

Wink

Well i have been off road evry day sice the electrical tape fix plu about 700 miles of freeway and still no rattles from the doors so if the electrical tape lasts a couple of months then i can reapply if noise comes back rather than fool around with an adjustment that although
i'm sure I can do might note fix the problem.

i'll sick with the tape for now
