Default Wind Noise from my Freedom Top

Is it normal to have wind noise coming from the 3 piece top (Freedom Top) when all 3 Pisces are on at or around 40 mph?

I haven't had any problem with my top but I just bought a new Jeep yesterday and traded in an '07 for a '10 and something's making a noise and I think it is the radio antenna? I checked it but it's tight so who knows? The only time I ever had noise outta my top is when I left a latch undone.

If you have lots of wind noise it's not normal. Check to see if you placed the panels on correctly and not over tighten the rear screws....If it still is an issue you may need to get new rubber seals on the freedom panels.

I eventually had to get new seals as the freedom panels were not pressing correctly against the windshield rubber seal.

If you run a search will find numerous threads on the subject which suggest lubing the seals, re-tightening, etc. it probably gets worse in cold weather as the panels shrink ever so slightly.

In the past most air leaks and wind noise came from the windshield header (mine included).

Thanks for the Info, I will see if the I have over tighten the rear screws and see if that helps and if not I will read the threads about what I can do to get the noise to be less of a nuisance.

I do have a question, I now this is a Jeep and I am not asking for it to be totally quiet. The noise I get is a mild whistle I did call the Jeep dealership and they told me that this is normal because what type of top it is and I do not know if that is normal or do I have a issue.

i have an 09 with a freedom top. take the top off and check the rubber for dirt or anything not rubber.put the top back exactly according to the instructions. take care and your time so you will not fold the rubber the wrong way.

I have not had the issue yet, mine seems very quite at least what I would expect from a removable panel top, you may want to browse the TSB's there are several about the Freedom top wind noise however since you have a 2010 I would have thought those were already addressed.

I have a whistle in my 2010 Freedom Top also. I noticed that my drivers side panel sits back a little further than the passanger side.
