If you find a good one let me know, this windshield is the worst I have ever had. A stiff wind seems to crack this thing.

My old yj made it over ten years and 114k miles without cracking. I even had a chip the size of a golf ball right in the middle.

Diamond Auto Glass. I paid $100 thru my insurance co. The paperwork I got from them was $459 so I got lucky with my deductible.

Had it about 4 weeks and was driving on the road (a 6 lane 3 on each side to be exact) and a rock flew seemingly out of nowhere in slow motion and cracked mine. I got it replaced through insurance (no cost for glass replacement in you carry full coverage ). The invoice said something like $459 If I recall correctly. I think my replacement is stronger than stock because I had the same thing happen at another location and could see no damage.

There must of been a bad batch of glass. I have driven my Jeep for 10k and have been hit numerous times by flying rocks . Windshield has not cracked or chipped like some of my other vehicles have.

Have a nice quarter size chip in mine...I had two TJ's and never had so much as a scratch on the windshield. I have this thing for 1200 miles and whamo! I'm not replacing it until it starts to crack which I'm sure by winter it will. I didn't even hear the rock hit, I just looked over and there it was. I did notice the woman driving in front of me kept weaving onto the shoulder kicking up all sorts of crap. I love when people talk on their cell phones and totally forget how to drive.

I'm hit also.

A driver in the passing lane went off
onto the shoulder and kicked up a rock
that hit the base of my windshield.
I got a BB sized nick and a 1/2 crack.

Hasn't expanded yet. I bought some
windshield repair stuff. Not sure if that
will prevent the crack from spreading.

I've used that windshield repair stuff on my wife's old KJ. It actually works pretty well. She did however go through three windshields on the KJ. DC must be using some pretty shotty glass for their windshields. Can you say "lowest bidder"!

I just got a small chip the other day - i have been watching out who is in front of me since I read early threads on the windshields. Mine is maybe a 1/4 inch little nick - I recall hearing form someone those can be repaired or filled? Any recommendations on whether it is worth it? I don't see any cracking or migration of the break.
