Windshield washer reservoir leaking
I've had the same issue this winter. First time I've noticed it though in the 5 years I've had my Jeep. It's been exceptionally freeze your balls off cold this winter though. Haven't had a chance to do any major investigating on the source due to the cold.
My '10 Rubicon washer reservoir leaked for the first time this winter. I had the local stealer evaluate it and was told the reservoir was cracked and needed to be replaced. $138 and 3 weeks of back order later, I had them replace my supposed cracked tank.... this was a 1.6 book hour job.. translate that to $160... After the 45 minute job, I politely questioned the job time and ultimately got them to charge me only for 1 hour... so the cost was $111.change. I did ask for the old reservoir to be returned to me. I thought at least I could get some of my moneys worth in the enjoyment of putting a few 5.56 rounds through it.... Well to my chagrin it turned out that the reservoir not cracked at all...In fact, it held fluids quite nicely. Moreover, after sitting for one whole entire night, the NEW reservoir had emptied itself through the leak at the pump motor.... I am now stuck with a leaky new unit. I just rebooked another appointment with the local stealer to see if 1. they will fix the leak and 2. if I stand a chance in that hot place of getting any of my $138 back..... I have the customer service unit of chrysler on speed dial.... well shall see......
I had this issue several years ago and changed the grommet between the pump and the reservoir. It fixed the problem until this week. It just started up again. It was under $10 to fix it. Over time the grommet gets harder and loses it seal. It's an easy fix that only takes a few minutes.
My 2013 is leaking with cold weather this week. I removed the washer pump inspected the grommet and confirmed that it is indeed a bad design. No surprise that it leaks. A little silicone grease and reinstallation might be for the best thing for it.

Is dealer fixing this if out of warrantee? Is there a recall? or do we start up class action?
