Yesterday I noticed that when my wipers would finish a pass of the wind shield that there would be a clunk. On my way home tonight I leaned forward and saw that the piece of trim closest to the windshield where the wiper arms exit the hood lifts as the wipers move across the windshield and then pops back down, resulting in the clunk.

Has anyone heard of this happening before. It hasn't stopped snowing here in about a week and I don't want the wipers to quit on me.
