You're pretty much at the end of options, so whatever I put below can't hurt your situation, but rather give you somewhere else to look.

Take a voltmeter and hook it to the output of the jeep where the motor should plug in. Turn your wipers on and see what the voltage looks like. If you see the voltage drop to 0 (indicating the pause) then I can't imagine it would be the wiper motor. If the voltage is consistent (normal cycle) then it could be the motor.

I don't have a complete working knowledge of the TIPM but it seems when quirky issues like this pop up and can't be solved with conventional methods (stalk, clean the gear, replace motor) then the TIMP usually is causing the issue. Ronjenx would be a good person to consult on that one as he knows the layers of the board and could point you to possible issues within the board and potentially even a place to get a replacement.

Karls! Thanks for the response. I will be changing the motor after work. If again no effect I will be pulling out the multimeter.

I work in telicomunications so I am comfortable using a multi meter (have a fancy fluke one)

I wasn't going to use the 'f' word but it's my tool of choice as well. If you still come up short then I would shoot Ronjenx a message and see what he's got to chime in.

Well I guess that's good and bad hey? I don't recall how the wipers "home", but could you pull them off and put them back on after the motor has homed? Or is the jk splined differently??

I think the home position is gained by the contacts that I cleaned.

I had a similar problem with mine, 07 JK, took apart motor and cleaned grease out , still had a problem but it was a little different from before grease removal, took it apart again and cleaned and sprayed with contact cleaner , been working great for about 2 years now
