Windshield Wipers Won't Shut Off and a Bunch of Other Weird Stuff
Hello all and thanks in advance for your help. When I turn on my 2010 Jeep with 20k miles the windshield wipers won't shut off, the headlights stay on, the blinkers don't work, the A/C is dead, and the dashboard cluster is totally blank (no lights or nothing). I have a solutions to make it stop...pull out the M13 fuse (ignition off draw something or other). Then I can start my car and everything runs fine, except the radio resets to 12:00 and there is a slight delay with starting. It sounds like a pretty good inexpensive fix to me, but it is not a real solution.
Does anyone know if there are consequences to leaving this fuse out? And more importantly, is there a permanent fix? Thanks again for your input.

First off, sorry to hear you're having this problem. It stinks.
Pulling the M13 fuse solved my problem. Check out the above thread. I've left it out for weeks and nothing "bad" has happened.
My mechanic said it was the dashboard cluster and would be a 700 dollar fix. Lots of computer programming involved.
If you find anything different please let me know.
Btw, what year is your Jeep?

I know this is an old post, but thought I put in my 2 cents anyway.
This same thing happened to me when I had just finished wiring my new pod lights.
If you look behind the kick panel on the driver's side (left foot, if you're sitting in the driver's seat) there is a ground wire, make sure the ground is touching bare metal and the nut is tight.
I also disconnected the battery for 10 mins. Everything was back to normal after that.
Hopefully, that helps.

Thanks for the input, Scott. What year was/ is your Jeep? I saw two wires where you said they'd be and they were secured to the frame. I was wondering if the ground wire you mentioned is behind a panel. I'll go searching for it if I have to. I took a picture of what I was but don't know if I can post here.

Outside of that and any other ground; I'm at a loss.
Hope that works!!
