Default Wire Harness Trouble

Could use some help here. I have a 2014 Jeep wrangler 2-Door, I'm trying to remove the doors but I cant get the harness to come apart it seems pretty straight forward but I have tried to seperate them with no luck. I dont know if the red tab is a lock it wont move. Can someone tell me the proper way so that I know for sure and dont break anything.

Thanks You

If that's the correct harness (you've got a few more wires and it appears they've changed colors), then yes- you'll need to pop that red locking tab up and pretty far out before you can disconnect the harness. I use a small screwdriver and pry at the red tabs like that. If it comes all the way out, that's ok, you can just slide it back in.

I finally got the Harness apart. The key was to push the harness tight then press the release it wasnt releasing completely because it was under pressure. I didnt have to do anything with the red clip on the side. Once the clip released it just slid right out

That red clip was already pulled out. You'd push that in once connected if you wanted to "lock" it together. I hate those damn things (the red clips). Usually those harnesses on '14+ are pretty easy to separate. They were a big improvement over the previous version used on my '13. I help remove buddys' doors all the time and usually that style is a 1-handed job on their jeeps. Odd.
