hey, all my current situation places me overseas with the army 52 avn out of italy. now since im limited to just what i see online and hear from my inept aafes car salesmen. now the rubis out of the price range for me finacially as is the 4dr so no deffinet 44 out back. im a 2dr man. after owning 3 cheros im crossing into the dark with the wrangler. the question i have is does the x model come with the 44 out back, im going for the x model, 6 speed tranny runing the s or c package. the tow package probly but from the info ive snagged so far says that DC is now stacking all models with at least the dana 44 rear and axing the 35. Am i wrong?

 

the x comes with a 35 rearend. just upgrade to the tow package, and get the 44

 

My X came with the D44, but then again it is an unlimited. I think the only rear in the 4 door is the D44, and according to the Jeep website(last I checked) they didn't even list a D35 for the new Jeeps. But hey, If they beefed it up like the D44 and made it better it might be a decent axle finally. LOL.


Scrambler

 

The D44 & 3.21 are is standard for the Unlimited.

Auto tranny or the tow package will get you the 4.10. (and possibly is a stand alone option)

Regardless the front axle is D35.

Where did you get your info from? I keep hearing over and over that the Dana 35 is the standard rear for the 2dr but I don't believe it, mine came with a D44. Is there anyone that has a JK with a Dana 35? If so please post a picture of it or just a scan of the window sticker that says it has one in it.

I have a 2dr X on order and my invoice sheet shows the Dana 44 as standard. I have NOT ordered the tow package so it wasn't because of that.
I had heard that they're not going to be making the 35 anymore and that all the JK's will come with the 44. But I can't remember where I read that so don't hold me to it.

If your correct about the 44 being standard from now on instead of the 35 in the 2 dr, that'll be great for all JK buyer's.

 

I wonder, ive read stickers on windows saying "delete D35" Add tow package D44 4:10's.


Thats why I ordered the Tow package, just to be safe.
