Does anyone now anything about the JL Interior?

 

Since nobody really has any idea on the exterior.... here's one for you.

 

Seems as if EVERY FCA vehicle has gone to the 8.4" stereo. I'd be pretty shocked if the JL didn't fall in line with that.

I saw those pics yesterday....seems like posted on every forum cept this one! I don't have high hopes of liking the JL myself, but I like some of the things I see in these pics. I like the way the center of the steering wheel is a bit more pronounced, the individual gauges instead of one cluster, and the dash in general. I can't tell if the dash is painted metal to match the body...a la a mini cooper, or something else, but I like it. If it was painted metal trim work it would be a nice throw back to the CJ. One thing I don't like is that dumb grab bar. It reminds me of what my Commander had. It's big, looks ugly, and seems too low on the a-pillar compared with were most of us want one. One thing I couldn't really tell from the pics is it seems the latch for the hard top sits back a decent ways from the top of the windshield. Maybe it was just an optical illusion in the pic.

 

I have to admit...I don't want to like it. Til death do us part with my '14. But that interior doors look pretty sweet. And a little retro. BUT, look how drastic that windshield slope seems from the inside.

 

I am really liking the new interior loo although doesnt look very water friendly.
