16.5 rims please help.
I need some 16.5 rims with 4" or less backspacing i am looking at running some 37" tires called 4wd hardware and they said they where discont.

Do you have figures to quantify what you've said here? If he goes with a narrow rim (in respect to the 37's) then he won't have any issues. Obviously if he goes with a very wide rim then yes, that would be correct.
Rim width plays a huge part in things. An example- I run 15x10's and a 31x10.50 tire. Most of the opinions on here said that airing down at all would not be an option for me. I've been down to 16 on the rocks at Rausch Creek without losing a bead. I understand the risks associated with my setup but it doesn't deter me from running it.
