I figured I'd rather ask here than blow $150 on something I'll only use once (hopefully it's a one time use thing and doesn't need to be plugged in 24/7)...

I just upgraded my 08 Rubicon to 35' tires, and I have the low tire pressure idiot light... I'd also like to re-calibrate for the speedometer and for the traction control, and would rather throw $20-40 to someone in the eastern NY / Western CT (Danbury Area) ... Instead of blowing $150 on it.

Posting here would be worth a shot.

 

Doesn't work that way. The Procal is vin locked to only allow it to program one vehicle at a time.

 

If you mean you want to borrow it to recalibrate, it won't work. It can only be paired to one JK at a time. you can get it for cheaper than $150 from one of the forum vendor sponsors. Or from the for sale section. One pops up now and then. That's where I got mine from.

 

I got one from someone on here for 110 shipped. I realize it's not much less but money is money, just keep an eye open, it's worth it.

 

"Once used for recalibration, AEV's ProCal Module stores a vehicle's VIN in its memory. While a VIN is stored in memory, a ProCal Module cannot be used on a second vehicle. To use the ProCal Module on a second vehicle, the first vehicle must be recalibrated to stock. This will clear the first VIN and ready the ProCal Module for use on the second vehicle."

Anyone know if there is a way the procal can be used if someone traded in their jeep without returning to stock?

 

Still need one? In the spring of '09 I bought one for my '08 JKU but I never used it. Traded in the JK recently. $100 shipped to you via basic US Mail. A bit more to send it speedy delivery. I'm going to list it later this spring with some other stuff I still have, but its yours if you want it.
