Thanks for the housing. I'm using it for a mock-up for my bracketry for the D-60. As for the condition of the internals. WOW. I tried calling you the other day.. then you called me back and I was in the woods wheeling for the weekend with my busted up carrier.
Your old 30 was/is busted up pretty bad. Not only did you crack a carrier bearing. But, when you busted the axle shaft, part of the splines for the spider gear got torn up. The spider gears are cracked and best of all, the Carrier itself is cracked in 3 places. With all this I looked at the ring gear and it looks ok I guess. But, with this much damage I'd say the Ring and pinion are trashed as well. Even your pinion bearings are bound up. I didn't bother pulling the pinion unless you decide you want the gears after all. I say good job on wrecking it right, and good choice on upgrading to the 44. I hope you bought better shafts though since the shafts on the 30 and 44 are the same from the factory aside from the inner spline count.
