Side bars
I am looking to place these side bars on my JKU I recently bought and was wondering if anyone had had them and what they thought of them. I have attached a pic of my JK and the side bars I am waiting on are the Rampage Side Bars. Let me know what y'all think.

No offense, but I'm not a fan of them whatesoever.... But, if you like them, then get 'em bud. It's YOUR jeep and YOUR money, so go with what you want. Happy Hunting...

Thanks for the input. I don't mind peoples opinion at all. I have been looking for the last couple weeks and these are the least bulky ones I have found. If you have suggestions I will be more than willing to listen. I like these also because of the price. 197 for the pair.

Nice steps, if that's what you need; but they don't look like they will slide over rocks at all.
From your pics it looks like you like to take your jeep off road, as most people on this forum do.
My first thought upon seeing these are that they can get hung up on rougher trails. My second thought is that besides getting banged up and possibly tweaked, they could even inadvertently cause more damage to a jeep rather than protect it (if they were to get hung up badly enough).
Just my opinion, but I'll be the first to admit that when it comes to wheeling/Jeeps there are way more knowledgeable people on this forum than me.

Why dont you check out the ACE rock sliders. They are made in the US, very strong, stick out far enough to use as a step as well, and protect your rocker panels underneath....

I think that those are perfect for those of us that don't go sliding over rocks. I know my jeep only sees the occasional mud and sticks. My stock Sahara steps really help my short gf and friends, but I don't think they'd ever slide over rocks either. I too really like those steps, and for $200 that's a hellova deal.

I agree Delux2769. Down here near the fort hood area there aren't to many places nearby for rock crawling. Plus since they are on back order and my military discount. They are giving me 20 percent off. I do like the ACE rock sliders but no military discount and I don't mean to be a punk but I'm used to getting that and since I don't make alot of money as a soldier that helps alot.
