I have a 2011 JKU with the basic stereo and want to buy someones takeout from the 2012. I just want to basic radio (bluetooth, sirius). I do not want the MYGIG. I don't want anyone to break into my jeep just because of the stereo.

I have the 2007 stock radio with sirus, Bluetooth, etc. I'm not sure if it's the same. $80.00 shipped

 

Does anyone know if the 2007 Factory radio will fit the 2011?

 

I've been told by more than one owner that it will work, but have not tried it myself.

I am not sure what I was thinking . After buying a used stock stereo, Blue Tooth adapter, and the Sirius Antenna, I could have (almost) bought an aftermarket unit with everything and a detachable face.

I was told that the radio's were vin locked to a particuler jk, Is this true?

 

After reading several post on here, I would have to say no. Many people sale the stock radio for an aftermarket and I haven't read about any problems with it yet.
