I have done this and DO NOT recommend it. I completely crushed a ring and pinion that I only had installed for about a year. I don't off road hard and it didn't take much to break multiple teeth in the new 5:13 ring and pinion.

If that's the case, every gear manufacturer and 4x4 distributer doesn't care either. Neither does Jeep for selling the wrangler with a 30. I've seen 44's destroyed on the regular too. Give me a break. If you search hard enough, you can find cases of people breaking dana 60 ring and pinion. The almighty dollar, lol. I offered the part for half the price of new($303) plus $15 for the shipping with USPS.Guy asked for a part, I have one laying around. As for destroying the gear set, just like every single part for sale, there are different quality levels. There's a reason why one brand is $180 and another is $300.

Chill out dude!!! I said buy it if he wants it or needs it. A couple of us were just giving him first hand experience and advice. By the way for the record the ones I blew were Yukon 5.13's... And most don't care that's why they manufacture in China to keep the costs down and profit margin up.... Jeep hasn't cared for years there bro or sister ..... The soccer moms and mall crawlers are their main customers now their jeeps ain't seeing any offroading unless speed bumps at the mall count.
