Default Alberta Trails

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum and the Jeep world, I just picked up my 09 4 door sahara 2 months ago. I haven't had the time to get any work done on it yet but a small lift and some 33's are on the way.

Anyways, does anyone know of any trails in the Edmonton area? just looking for something fairly easy as i am still stock but i would love to get this thing out and have some fun with it.

thanks for any input!

Sign up on one of the Jeep clubs and there will be many people to ride with. Try the Edmonton Jeep Community (EJC).

I have met a few of the guys and they are mostly good guys to wheel with.

Also check out the TNTGP website, they know lots of people to....of course if you are bored come north to Fort McMurray we will wheel with you (Jeepsofmcmurray.com)

happy wheelin....and welcome.

PM me if ya want I'll tell you how to get to Bruderheim / Long Lake etc staging areas Brudheim / Redwater is pretty wooped out from dirt bikes so I'd go to Long Lake or Cadomin before I'd go there but it is close.

Thanks for the replies guys, I have heard of the Safari park here and hope to make it out there one day. I will look into some of the places suggested and the EJC forum.

Thanks

Welcome ! Another Edmonton jeeper, great ! I've been down in the Hinton area and there are alot of trails for offroad there, but it's about a 2 hour drive. You'll love you Sahara, especially when you start doing some work to it. PM me and maybe we can set up a wheeling trip to Safari some time.

Spetz mentioned a GREAT area to go explore...south of Hinton and around that area is amazing...it's a bit of a drive, but well worth it in my opinion...I mentioned in another thread to someone else, you could go pick up a coil bound book of back country roads at your nearest map store, then start planning trips and enjoy ...JMHO...I prefer to spend the 50 or 60 bones on gas and explore our countryside

Good points, the country north of Hinton towards Grande Cache has awesome trails to.
