FNG from Westbank checking in. Just bought my '07 JKU Rubicon and looking forward to spending all summer with the top off!

Is there a good local shop for parts and accessories?

Haha.. nope.

There's a shop on the east end of Kelowna that can get some stuff ordered in.. but the best option is still ordering online.

Cool. Good to see some Kelownites (did I just make that up... ) on here.

Need to setup some local trail runs this summer.

Lol. When I first moved to Kelowna I couldn't decide between Kelownite and Kelownian. I've since settled on Kelownian. We should definitely get a few trips in over the summer. Also, if u need a hand extending your diff breathers before Whipsaw let me know.. I did mine last summer in anticipation of Whipsaw and probably have some excess fuel line kicking around if u need it.

Did u extend all 4? I was looking earlier and the only 1 that is really calling out to me is the rear diff. The front diff breather is pretty high (it's above the top of the shock tower, and the tranny is inside the cab).

Nope.. like many others I figured that the tranny and transfer case were too much of a pain in the ass to get to. My original plan was to extend my front/rear diffs by changing the hose right on the diffs and running a new continuous line all the way up. After looking at where the front/rear breathers terminated, and thinking about how often I would actually be in water/mud that deep.. I figured that just coupling the new lines to the old would be sufficient. So I purchased a couple barbed couplings and some hose clamps and ran the rear to behind the passenger taillight and extended the front up to the firewall in the engine compartment. With regards to the front breather.. ya the top of the shock tower is PROBABLY high enough for now, but I plan on installing a snorkel so eventually I'll want to extend it anyway. Seeing as I was already working on it I decided to just take care of it now and forget about it.

I'm thinking of adding a snorkel as well as I like splashing through big puddles and I really don't want to ingest any water.

I think I will do the same then and just focus on the rear breather tube for now.

Which model of snorkel are you thinking? I am leaning towards the AEV with the ram air scoop.

Not to hijack the thread, but I never had issues with my breathers, and I'll tell you I was deep in water MANY times.. Never had a problem.. Am I lucky?
I do have a snorkel now though.. Just in case .
