Default Axel Seal Leak - Northridge goodies.

well i am coming up on 37,000km and my drivers front outer axel seal is starting to go (slow diff fluid leaking out axel, no drips but wet with oil). called the dealership and appointment scheduled for 0800 on Tuesday. looked up the problem on here last night and it seems there is numerous JKs out there with this exact problem around the 30,000-40,000km/mile range. anybody out here have this seal go on your rig yet ??? it seems everyone in the US is getting this covered under warranty with coil lifts/ 35s and above.

on a happier note ------ ordered a few goodies from northridge over the past two weeks.

1) Viking synthetic winch line
2) alluminum hawse fairlead
3) pure jeep shackle mounts
4) AEV snorkel

synthetic line is 4.2lbs for 100 ft of 3/8s. shackle mounts will be going on the mopar bumper this weekend after i cut the crush cans, midwidth chop the bumper, and coat it with bedliner. Snorkel will be installed over the xmas break when dave comes home for the holidays.

and.... happy 500th post to me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

longer length(distance from the seal ), more stress maybe? i dunno for sure, but it does seem to be the most popular one to go first.

I wouldn't think you would have an issue Grant...you still have your 33's. I have not had issues with powertrain warranty with 33's and my lift.

Default Warrenty

I had my torque converter changed out yesterday under warrenty at 73,000km (TSB Shudder) and mine has an AA Rubicrawler hanging off the back. I have to say we have an excellent dealer up here and the mechanic that does the work owns an Unlimited Rubicon so he's always interested to see what new stuff I've put on my JK. Also had 2 front driveshafts under warrenty with a TF 3" lift installed, I finally put a Coast after market DS up front.

Grant, I thought the snorkel was going to be installed last September?

Will I see you at the swap in Puyallup?

Mike, snorkel got postponed. Picking it up early next week. Yes I am planning to be at the swap, hoping to get a few good deals. Cheers, grant.
