not from Cowtown, but I'll be there from Aug 25 - 29, if anyone wants to go for a trail ride on one of those days/evenings. needless to say, my knowledge of the area is nill.
Even if nobody gets together, any trail suggestions would be appreciated (nothing too crazy I still have to drive her back to Winnipeg!!!)

MacLean Creek is just West of Bragg Creek take 22x west to Kananaskis Country (K-country). Like someone placed in the show and tell another nice drive is Powderface Trail which is further West from Maclean Creek and this will take you north up towards Sibbald Flats area near highway 1.
Also, nice place not sure if it's still open to off-roading was Jumping Pound Creek in K-country which is West of Millarville. Awesome scenery and few nice off-road trails. You can also, try West of Turner Valley and head over to Sheep River Sancturary some nice scenary and a great drive!!! If you still have time....head on down to Longview just south of Black Diamond/Turner Valley. If you head West from Longview this will also, take you into K-country and some nice scenery and even a few logging roads to take off on!
However, the last time I was in these area's was about 6 years ago. So, you may have some access issues possibly.
Thanks, I'm actually staying in Bragg Creek w/ family and going to a Wedding in Kananaskis (this reason for the trip) so those might work out perfectly.
MacLean Creek has been a hot spot for me when I used to live in Calgary/Millarville, AB some years ago. However, I have heard it is getting chewed up!!!
