I grew up in PA, schooled in S'toon, worked in La Loche for a couple of years, and now I'm in northern BC. Been here 4 years now. I'm back in Sask at least a couple of times a year.

Kalamari 06-24-2010 05:53 PM

Oh, yeah. My wife's family is from Speedy Creek. I love it down there.

BoggerSwap 10-06-2010 09:48 PM

Hey - I was raised in Speedy (incl. high school), and still have the farm there. PM me - When did you go to school? I've always thought of wheeling the hills at the Landing, but i doubt there's any trails there.... Someone has to have some hilly land they want to sell for cheap.

jeepguy21 11-25-2010 09:28 AM

SNOWHARA 10-18-2011 07:38 PM

I'm almost in Saskatchewan. My house is in Manitoba, and everything I can see to the west of me is called Saskatchewan. Went to SIAST in Saskatoon, too much fun.

If your house is in Manitoba and you look west you see Alberta don't you? I'm pretty sure you'd have to look down. ;)

Hahahaha Manitoba doesn't even touch Alberta :rotflmao2: Unless this is some joke of how flat Sask is :rotflmao2:

SNOWHARA 10-19-2011 05:13 AM

Yes. This is possibly a joke about SK being flat. A co-worker once said to me, completely serious: "did you know that you have to drive all the way across Saskatchewan to get to Alberta?" I thought about it and replied "not if you go down thru the States". I think they considered that to possibly be a short-cut! All kidding aside folks, it's good to talk to some other Jeep people on the Prairies.:)

SNOWHARA 10-19-2011 11:04 AM

I'm in beautiful Flin Flon, on top of the rocks, a long way from anywhere.

Haha Flin Flon. I always wondered how they thought of that name. Must have been someone drunk :rotflmao2:

Kalamari 10-19-2011 08:49 PM

Manitoba is Saskatchewan's evil twin.

Yes, drunk or nuts. Whoever named it is long gone and now we have to live with it. I've only Been in Regina once, about ten years ago for a wedding. Very nice place, but the name is kind of different! :)

Yes. Unique is a good way to put it.:) TGIF.

jeepguy21 10-27-2011 06:36 PM

Id say Balzac, AB is a little more unique myself...but they do have a nice big mall

SNOWHARA 10-28-2011 01:29 PM

Dildo, Newfoundland, leaves nothing to the imagination.:) Saskatoon people... where do you buy tires, off road accessories etc etc in Saskatoon? Since this is the nearest major center to me I want to find out where to go on our trips to your fine city.

roots 10-29-2011 07:35 PM

Just outside Regina  Haven't done much wheeling in SK. More so in AB, MB, ON and best of all Ouray, Co.

JnT 12-30-2011 10:45 AM

I'm an hour east of Regina. Done some wheeling in the Qu'Applle valley and I'm currently in the process of getting land use access for the coulee system running from town to the valley to create some trails and possibly start a club.

JnT 12-30-2011 10:47 AM

Any of you Regina area guys go out to the "pit" this year? We were out there last fall but with all the moisture this year I never bothered to get out there this year :sad2:

2012_UR 01-06-2012 06:34 PM
