Default Warn XD900i Winch

Title should say XD9000i

Hi Guys...

Got talking with a few shops around Revelstoke... found a NEW ...Warn XD9000i for $900! Still pretty steep priced but it's a Warn with the lifetime warranty. I still like the Superwinch LP8500 at Canadian Tire for $400. Talking with Dave he has been very happy with his superwinch. Also, found a XD9000 Warn winch 10 years old in decent shape for $500.

Decisions...Decisions.....I like the price of the Superwinch...but the Warn has a better warranty.

Which one would you pick based on price and quality???

you know the feeling you have now about your 33s???? ....wanting 35s and wish you would have just got 35s from the get-go (i can say that cause i run 33s also)..... thats the same feeling you will have if you dont buy a good quality winch. i wouldnt pay 500 for a ten year old winch when you could get brand new with warranty for 900.

we already have to spend extra money on tires because we messed up the first time around. dont make the same mistake twice.

Totally agree Grant....I was figuring the used XD9000 was still too steep in price. Warranty is what I like. I am still happy with the 33's...but would love 35's, but the 3:73 gearing is kinda of stopping me from going up...but I know I will go to 35's for my next tires....Go bigger or go home!!!

If I go with the Warn...won't get razzed with getting a Superwinch!

How are the XD9000I winchs???

haha im fine with the 33s too ... made it everywhere i had to so far. but i would rather have 35s. i am partial to warns clearly. in the end it depends what you would want on the front of your rig when your by yourself and stuck (and i know you go out alone hahaha.....we all do).

There is no comparing the two IMHO...WARN is the only winch I would put on any of my Jeeps period...If you buy the Stuperwinch, every time you look at it on the front of your rig you'll wince and say to yourself "I should've got the WARN"...

Mike, I have the Warn xd9000i and it is a great winch, have used it over a dozen times, and it has worked flawlessly. You even saw me use it to clear the blowdown timber on the whipsaw last spring Go Warn, you will not regret it. You get what you pay for should be a way of life......

Actually why are you even questioning it?????.............

You will spend a bit more $$ but 10 year warranty sound pretty dam good....

If I have learned anything it is that you will never be able to convince yourself a cheeper option is better if you really want what you want. In the end you will spend more buying what you want after you spent the money on what you settled for.
But if you are really up in there air, here is some advice I was told about Warn's lifetime warranty. It is NOT unconditional.
Good Luck!
