Last step. Pull down on the tent a little from the ground and get the straps nice and tight.
I heard some squeaking the other day that I thought was the tent squeaking against the rack, but it was in fact the two tent halves themselves and something inside. I've probably either got it strapped down too tight, or not enough. The squeaking is only present about 1% of the time while driving on paved roads. I haven't done an offroad test yet, but will later this week.
This tent is excellent. Super comfortable and looks great. The black storm means that it's hotter in the daytime, but I don't plan to spend much time in it during the day anyway and I just prefer the looks of it to the white casing.
I'm 6'2" and fit fine in it too. I can't wait to take my 2.5 year old son camping as soon as he gets old enough.
