Check Out Jeep's Awesome 2025 Easter Safari Concepts
From nostalgic throwbacks to hybrid off-roaders, Jeep’s Moab-bound creations explore the past, present, and possible future of the brand.
Moab 2025
Every spring, Jeep turns Moab, Utah into a proving ground for its most imaginative off-road experiments. The annual Easter Jeep Safari isn’t just a gathering of 4x4 enthusiasts—it’s a workshop for Jeep designers and engineers to test ideas, revisit past icons, and stretch the limits of what their vehicles can do. The 2025 lineup includes seven wildly different concepts, ranging from hybrid overlanders and accessory-laden parts showcases to unapologetically nostalgic tributes to Jeep’s golden eras. Some hint at future production possibilities; others exist purely for fun. All of them reflect where Jeep's head is at right now—caught somewhere between memory lane and the trail ahead.
Bug Out 4xe Concept
Inspired by ultralight backpacking and built off a plug-in hybrid Wrangler, the Bug Out 4xe is a stripped-back, extended two-door model designed for rugged overlanding. With 12 inches added to its frame, a raised carbon-fiber roof offering extra headroom, and mounting points for a hammock, it leans into the idea of a self-contained campsite.

Matte PEA51 silver paint and yellow accents set it apart visually, while 18-inch Forgeline wheels and 37-inch BFGoodrich KM3 tires provide capability. Inside, Jeep went for a utilitarian vibe—spray-in bedliner, MOLLE panels, and a flat load floor signal a no-nonsense approach to trail life.
Convoy Concept
Perhaps the most overtly nostalgic, the Convoy Concept reimagines the old SJ Gladiator with a distinct military look. Based on the Gladiator Mojave, this one-off uses a J-truck-style hood and a seven-slot grille inspired by early Wagoneer designs. It features matte Ghost Ops paint, brown canvas half doors and roof, and a 12,000-pound Warn winch.
Convoy Concept
“This one, the first with a seven-slot grille, may be the best iteration yet,” one write-up noted. Riding on 40-inch BFGoodrich Krawlers wrapped around 17-inch wheels, the Convoy is a deliberate blend of throwback and brute-force utility.
Gladiator High Top Honcho
A nod to the colorful Jeep pickups of the 1970s, the High Top Honcho pairs retro-inspired body graphics with heavy-duty hardware. While the standout look is courtesy of flat steel fenders and vintage-style decals, under the skin it’s all business: Dana 60 axles, 5.38:1 gearing, and 40-inch All-Terrain KO3 tires on painted steel wheels.

The Decked storage system in the bed and AEV front bumper round out a concept that mixes vintage looks with serious off-road functionality.
Rewind Concept
Jeep’s Rewind Concept throws it back to the ’80s and ’90s, a time when boxy Wranglers wore splashy graphics and neon interiors. Starting with a two-door Wrangler Rubicon, the design team chose a bright Grimace purple paint job and gave it vintage-style graphics reminiscent of jazz cup patterns.

Inside, the period-correct vibe continues with bold neon trim and a faux-vintage car phone. 37-inch BFGoodrich KM3s on gold 17-inch AEV wheels give it the height, though the overall aesthetic might resonate more with those who once owned a cassette tape visor.
Wrangler 4xe Sunchaser
The Sunchaser, based on the Wrangler 4xe Rubicon, is outfitted for sunup-to-sundown adventures. Side-mounted storage boxes recall those seen on old-school Land Rovers, and the 2-inch lift accommodates 37-inch BFGoodrich KM3 tires. Lighting upgrades include a roof rack system and Mopar’s “ILLUMINAT3” pivoting light bar—clearly a concept piece but perhaps hinting at production.

A custom leather interior and rock rails reinforce its dual nature as both a capable off-roader and a gear-hauling day-tripper.
Wrangler 4xe Blueprint
While maybe not the most visually cohesive of the seven, the Blueprint Concept serves a specific function: showcasing Mopar's aftermarket catalog. Painted Mopar Blue with more than 35 accessories installed—each tagged with a QR code—the Blueprint includes rock rails, a snorkel, steel bumpers, and three types of 17-inch wheels (left side, right side, and spare all differ).

With a 2-inch lift and tubular doors, it’s effectively a rolling demo for Jeep’s gearheads who want to mix and match.
J6 Honcho Concept
Revisiting the idea of a short-cab pickup, the J6 Honcho rides on a Rubicon chassis but stretches the rear into a full six-foot bed—longer than a standard Gladiator’s. Its 118.4-inch wheelbase matches that of a four-door Wrangler, and with just a 2-inch lift, it fits 37-inch BFGoodrich KM3s under flat Mopar concept fenders.

A custom double-tube sport bar and bumper hoop—each holding four TYRI lights—underscore its off-road focus. Inside, it’s stripped down, quiet (no radio), and trimmed with bronze accents. Jeep fans will admire it, even if the body style is unlikely to see production due to packaging trade-offs.
