The bottom line is that if you like the lights, nothing else matters.

it's misleading: the stock headlights spread better I suppose in that there is no sharp cut off. But the overall brightness is so bad , they only spread 50ft in front of the jeep. If I have one thing to get used to with the led projectors is that the cutoff at the top is so sharp that when the jeep bounces around on the road, the cutoff is really noticeable in how it lights up street signs and reflective surfaces. I don't drive in super dark areas often so I haven't had a chance to post a pic that's more representative of how they look in real world.

An even light spread regards the whole lighted area, up to the cutoff line.
(No headlight has a perfectly even light spread. Some are more even than others.)
A sharp, wide, straight & horizontal cutoff, is optimal. It allows shedding more light farther, across the road (or trail) width, without blinding on-coming traffic.

If possible scratches on the plastic lenses worry you, put this – XPEL Head Light Protection

What's your budget? What do you want? HID, LED, H4 Conversion I went with ORA Night Guard LEDs and got the Fog bulbs
Package Deal - ORA Night Guard Headlights, Anti-flicker Wiring, and Foglight LED Bulbs (Pair) Jeep JK - Off Road Additions LLC
I also tried Lifetime LED bulbs (didn't work out well) and now they have the same LED replacements.

Tough decision but once you decide, whatever it may be, it will be better then what you have now.

There’s an installation video on the website –
https://youtu.be/kNv5bPQ-zr0
It comes flat.
The curve is shaped by applying brief heat where needed, from a hairdryer on high (or a heat gun on low), while squeezed on.
Check the instructions for the lamin-x, good chance it’s the same.

Got some new JW Evo2 and had Trucklite's. Did a quick video where both are installed and blocked the light from each one for a few seconds.
