Default Bike Rack Advice

I have a LoD shorty rear bumper with a hitch made into it with a teraflex hinge. I am using the stock tire carrier with a 33 cooper stt on a atx slot which has. 4 in BS. Planning to move up to a 35. What would be a good bike rack to use that will clear everything? I am not really concerned if it is a hitch mount or tire mount. Thanks.

I had the Thule "Spare Me" on my last Jeep and plan on reinstalling it on the new one. It was and is a great rack setup.

Thule 963XTR - Thule® 963 Spare Me Spare Tire Bike Rack - Quadratec

Depends on the bikes and price you want, but the best rack I have ever used is northshore racks. Clears my 35's on a expedition one rear bumper and carriers 4 big heavy bikes no problems with no frame damage. I find all frame hanging, or wheel clamping racks cause damage to the bikes.

I'm using the Yakima tire mount. I also have the teraflex tailgate hinge and adjustable tire mount and it fits perfect.

I have a spare tire rack that mounts over the tire. Make sure it can expand wide enough for your tire, mine will fit (barely) the stock Rubi tire, but not anything wider. For one it doesn't fit the width, but a taller 10-1/2 won't let it fit due to interference from the third brake light. I'll be looking for a new one soon.

Check out northshore racks, only rack that I know of 100% made in Canada and North America. Everything else is made overseas and imported. Plus the rack can take a beating, caved in a hood of a car which tried to kiss my rear bumper....

100% Yakima
Folds down. Super quick. I even use it all the time to hold a ladder. I've had a couple and it works the best. Will also allow to fit larger tires. It was between Thule and Yakima and I forgot the one thing that persuaded

me over but it was a good one. I'll even attach shovels and an axe to it in the down position.
I keep mine on all the time for quick use but if I need more that 2 bike I use my hitch carrier. "Rat Rack"

ID:	535682 I originally had a Thule 'spare me', nice little rack but the bikes bashed against each other like crazy. Have had Thule's two up tray style hitch mount rack for a few yrs now and am really happy with it

I like the spare tire mounts so I can still get into my back end but I can see where they might cause damage to the bikes.
