Finally filed the gap left by my winch bumper with no winch. SO far so good, hopefully it'll perform when it's needed

So I picked up this sexy overland trailer. Wait, maybe it's just the cheapest trailer money can buy... Anyway, I thought this might be the best place to ask this question.

Can you run wheel adapters on a trailer? It seems for fairly cheap, I can get an adapter to take the 5x100 to a 5x4.5.

I have them on my trailer and have had no problems at all. Sometimes that's your only choice if you want to run factory wheels.

A good winch can be a mighty handy thing to have... No doubt!

Why not make them the same as the Jeep?

Adapters to a 5x4.5 bolt pattern run $41 for 2. To get the 5x5, it's $60 each. So there's a big price difference. In the perfect world I would match wheels & tires, but even though I run 15s, it would get pricey fast.

In regards to the trailer- with the backspace of wheels, where the axle sits, etc. (can you tell I've been here?), you'll want to go with a 2" plus spacer or consider a new axle from harbor freight. They're relatively cheap but then you could be on the right bolt pattern with the proper width and a little higher capacity.

I cheaped out and did eBay adapters- all bolt patterns cost the same, just contact the seller and ask for your size- that way you can run the same bolt pattern all around.
