Default 37's on a D30?

I know this question comes up a lot, but would the D30 hold up with 5.13's, a 3.5 lift and 37's if I hold off on the wheeling for a bit and just keep her on pavement?

On the pavement you should be fine for awhile. There are people who wheel 37s on a 30 often. As long as you don't do anything stupid it should last awhile.

Wheel smart and stay out of the skinny pedal. You'll be fine.

Sorry bro. It won't work off road. 44s should really be C'd and Gusseted with 37s. Your just asking to be broke down on the trail. Not worth the headache.

Like I said, how about just keeping her on pavement for a bit?

the higher u go in gear ratio the smaller the teeth get. a 30 already has a much smaller ring and pinion v. the d44. going as high as 5.13 which i think is max on a 30 is really pushing it....then throwing larger/heavier 37's on there will lead to a failure.

edit: go for it and let us know how it works out.

Theres a guy I know that runs 37" mud grapplers on his D30 that has gussets and ARB diff cover and its 5.13 geared. He drives 30K a year on pavement with at least a dozen off road trips a year. still going strong
