Did the JK kill the "Jeep Wave"?
#13
When I'm off campus I get plenty of waves - possibly a 1:1 ratio. Of course I live in a small country town so it's probably typical.
On campus is another story. I don't think I've received a single wave back. It seems to me like a lot of guys my age just don't get it. Oh well. I'm still waiving anyway.

Test drive wave
The wave is hit or miss around here. The fun thing I experienced was the wave I got from a TJ Jeeper while test driving my vehicle. How's that for a welcome to the family moment!?!

I have not gotten waves from anyone since getting my JK except for one by a 4dr JK that I almost missed because we were going around a turn on a mountain hwy. All other YJs and TJs I've seen havent waved even when I wave first. Dont know.

I like to drive with my fog lights on. When I see a Wrangler a simple hibeam flash followed by the wave with spark a wave (or nod. or peace sign) . Now that the weather is warming I will open the window for a full hand shake or the "ZZ top ". Of course the hawaii finger- pinky is good on occasion. The lady up the street (in a TJ) likes to blow kisses ( i like that) but I will settle for a thumbs up or the now famous hard rocker ILY (thumb, index and pinkie). Any two finger salute (right handed only) shows mutual respect.
Now that the weather is getting warmer I am probably add some kind of
"Hey nice Jeep" cheer.
One last thing: I received a brochure from Volkswagon (my car). Apparently they have started a secret hand sign which looks a lot like something a rappper fingers - One hand does the "v" the other hand makes the "W". It not catching on though!

I'm a 4 doors owner and can be put with the ''have a family so jeep isn't for me'' gang ( I have 3 kids) and wasn't knowing anything about waving other jeep but my heart was a jeep's one for a long time.
Now, I wave everytime and did receive good response.
Scuse me if I didn't wheel in mud with top and doors off but this is the wife's jeep so keeping it clean inside save me lots of time as throwing water over that dvd player doesn't appeal to me.
