Stubby front bumper without plastic cover
#181
I did this the other day. So far I have only removed the cover and painted to see how it is going to look. Next I will remove the crush cans and fill the fog light holes. Not sure how much I want to chop off the ends yet. Not bad for a free mod, I like it. Might also paint tow hooks black, not sure yet....

Home made, i can send you the design if you like but its pretty simple, 1/4 inch thinkness plate, cut the holes and a rectangle in the middle. 1 inch thinkness plate for the dring holder, cut the shape and pass it through the rectangle hole, weld it in the back and front for best resistance. paint them black and bolt em in place. oh, remove first the colision cilinders, just grind the welds off.
You will have to get larger bolts.
You will have to get larger bolts.
Hi Geman i know I'm way late ... but i was wondering you can send you the designs too

I did that, then changed bumper, changed it again, now I think I will go back to that. I have a winch and the Olympic winch plate; gonna get their light kit, D ring, and flat plate that replaces the plastic piece between the bumper and grill.

I know I’m late but just got around to knocking this out.
Couldn’t stand the plastic bumper any longer and wasn’t quite ready to move on a new one - saving my pennies for rubber. This thread was a huge help. Cut, spray lined, and mounted some mesh and D-ring shackles. This should hold me over for a bit.
