I bought a rugged ridge deflector last year and I've got no complaints. The tailgate 'protector' was garbage- the adhesive tape kept separating; but the hood protector is great.

Two questions for you guys running the RR deflector.
Do you find they help with rocks/debris at all?
Does it make cleaning the hood underneath hard or awkward?

I like the look of smoke on a black Jeep but worried about keeping it clean behind there..

Mine helps with rocks and bugs, haven't noticed problems cleaning the hood, though.

Haven't washed the jeep since the install but there seems to be enough room under to run ur fingers thru with no problem. Totally worth it to me. If it deflects wind and bugs I can imagine rocks bouncing clean away from the windshield.

Has anyone tried the weather tech one for our jeeps? I am looking for one that requires no drilling and so far that is the only one I found that requires no drilling. It doesn't haven't much of angle tho so I'm not sure if it's going to deflect much. Does anyone know of any other that don't require drilling?

I have the rugged ridge one it does not require drilling BUT i decided to drill because I heard the 3m tape doesn't hold well. So where it required there "nutserts"(nut insert) I drilled instead. The cheap plastic nutsert just stripped anyway. That's the weak point in most "no drill" install brands. Mine is now strong as a rock! The nutserts I drilled are on the outer edges and the 3m tape hold the inner centers. I've heard stories of them flying off. I can see that happening if you leave in their nutserts but that applies to all brands that don't require drilling. IMO rugged ridge will deflect the most just because of the angle. I researched the shit out of this before pulling the trigger.

let me guess. You had the mopar? They look like they wouldn't divert anything. They lay low to the hood. Prolly just use as a rock bra.
