Default Deep Lip elimintaes need for wheel spacers?

I'm in need of tires so it's time to lose the stock wheels and go black!

With my stock suspension on my 2010 Rubi I'm looking to go just a little bigger/wider tire, minor trimming of under fender stuff okay, not readt to get new fenders (flat) or lift kit, maybe willing to get a leveling kit in there if really needed...

So I've been thinking of using wheel spacers to push the rubber out, but I also LOVE the deep lip look of the Fuel Octane D509's... my question to the gurus... do the deep lip wheels eliminate the need for wheel spacers?

Don't beat me up over the search feature... I've read thru a shit ton of threads and I'm dizzy for it

Just looking for recommendations on going slightly bigger, fatter, wider on tires when I get a new set of wheels and tires, stock Rubi, thanks in advance!

If you go with a wheel that has a 4.5 back spacing you won't need wheel spacers. I have the xd rockstar 2 17x9 with -12 offset and 285/75/r17 tires. No problems with rubbing on completely stock suspension. I think it has a tuff look this way, but every time I am around a lifted one I want to lift mine

The wheel I am leaning toward doesn't have a 17x9, they do have a

D5098902645 BD -Black Matte 18x9 5x4.5 5x5.0 78.1 -12 4.5

Would work well but I'd need a tire that works with it....???

I wanted the MT sidebiter 2s as well. I ordered tham and was told it was going to take 3 weeks before they could ship because they were coming from China. 4 weeks later I call them to see if they shipped yet and was told it was going to be another 3 weeks. So 3 weeks later I call again and was told it may be another month or 2. They weren't sure. So I cancelled and went with another rim.

Moral of the story: Make sure they are IN STOCK when you order them.

The 18x9 with that back spacing would work and you would need a 285/65/R18 tire. That would keep you about a 33 x 11.5 in wide and should be ok with rubbing. Good luck finding what you like

damn my head is spinning from all these options..

okay, I can't get a deep lip Fuel Octane in under 20" so I found some Moto Metals I like, the MO969 and the MO961, they both come in a -24 offset on the 18x10 wheels, is THIS what I'm after? If others are running these wheels I'd love to know their tire sizes and clearance issues if any???

anyone else wanna chime in with tire size suggestions for the 18x10 ??? Thanks in advance

6-8 weeks to order fuel wheels from factory, they won't make them till then, and I'm scared to wait that long to be told wait longer...

the wheel I'm lovin right now is the MO 969, Size 18X10
Bolt Pattern 5-127
Finish Black
Offset -24
Center Bore 78.3
Part Number 92 96981050324N

would these first of all fit/work?
would my tires stick out WAY too far? (I'm okay with a wider stance that allows some tire beyond fender)
can I get a tire that'll keep me at 32 or 33" tall? (I do want fat, but too tall we all know won't work without lift)

I'm doing endless homework on these choices.... I'm a half-fart from powdercoating my stock rubi wheels black!

I need help- tire suggestions, etc... thanks
