Others who have installed this specific one off ebay that I posted did not need the flash module. Mine looks like it will be here Thursday or so, so I will once again confirm. The ebay ones are all sold out at the moment, and last time they sold out they came back with a new posting a week or so later.

According the the text on their own website (fortin), the flash module is only needed for vehicles released after their starter module was released.

[1] A firmware update may be required for the module to support vehicles produced after the date of manufacture.

I emailed a seller on Amazon and they said they would program it and make sure it has the latest firmware for my 2014. The seller is "Car Alarm Depot". They said there is another seller of them that is not doing the programming. FYI. I'd much rather deal with Amazon than Ebay.

What's another 100 bucks. I feel bad you've spent that much money. But I would finish off the month strong with 5400 for sure

They told me it is needed to active option 15 which is to make the evo-all a stand alone remote starter. Its primary function is as a bypass module for a system like viper.

I have this exact set up. Its 10 minute install once you have the column and lower dash panel off. It really is that easy to install

I added a relay to power the parking lights while running . the fortin unit is a negative output so you need to wire a relay to switch to posative and power 2 wires in the pass kick panel

I paid about $170 for everything ... this is a good find for $100 ... I have a 2014 and it will work ... I took a chance on it since even fortin said up to 2013

Silly question, you guys disconnecting the battery before install right? I know I will be!

EDIT, I guess if you follow the install video you shouldn't. I always get leary working in the steering column without disconnecting the battery. Oh well!

Mine shipped out today! I have been emailing back and forth with the Amazon seller, he said they have in the works a version for manual vehicles, but no timeframe right now. Would be cool for a plug and play version for you manual guys.
