Prorock44 vs rj60
I Know what you're thinking. That it's probably more realistic to compare a pr60 with a currie rj60 but for the sake of what I am looking at getting I want some honest opinions that are hopefully not bias and based on "what everyone else has."
Assuming the set up is on 37s would you be looking at a dynatrac pr44 or a currie rj60 1 ton front end and why?
The prices aren't that much different from what I can tell. From the research I've done, I like the angle of the currie and I like that it's a 60 lol and can probably handle 40s in the future if I get crazier. But I like the 44 ground clearance.
Thoughts?

What are you seeing for a price on the 60 that has you comparing the two? I'm seeing about $7300 for the 60. The 44 should be around 5k.

PR44 has some caster correction for lifted JKs. The 44 will also turn tighter than a 60. Lastly the PR44 has way better clearance.
Unless you get silly with the gas or have a V8 a PR44 it should also hold up to 40s.

I've got the Dynatrac PR44 and it is crazy stout. I know plenty of guys who have it also and are running 37s and coilovers. If you plan on just going 37s and never bigger than I would go with the 44 better ground clearance and lighter weight.
On the flip side the currie is a 60 so it will obviously be much bigger and you could move to 40s if you ever wanted.

I'm not very familiar with the RJ60 dimensions, but a PR60 has as much ground clearance as a D44. Turning radius is mostly a factor in setup. You can increase it if you want.
I've commented many times that it is not so much a R&P issue (although I blew up my front 44 this year running 37s). It's the ball joints, unit bearings, etc, that aren't cut out for 37s.
All that said, if you have issues or decide to go larger, you shouldn't have issues selling a PR44 without much of a loss. Personally, I think $5k for a 44 is insane.
Keep an eye out for better pricing on the new ultimate Dana 60s. Supposedly, they will be more competitive on pricing.

Not from Dynatrac but from Dana the company that manufactures factory axles. Was shown at SEMA this year.

Mopar just released the D60's for the JK's
You can get both front and rear with either 4:88's or 5:38's
35 spline axle shafts with eaton E-lockers included
