Default Quck backspacing question before I order!

Talking with a wheel supplier, trying to figure out the correct backspacing/offset.

I currently run cragars with 3.75. I'm upgrading to 37x13.50x17 on addicts with -12 offset, which if I've done my research correctly, should but me at about 4.5" of backspacing if its a 9" wide rim?

Will this be close to the correct backspacing?

Thanks a lot guys.

9" wide + -12 offspace = 4.5bs

If I were you , I would go with 3.5" backspacing to make sure you clear everything when you do future mods. 13.5 will rub on stuff with only 4.5" backspacing.

Hmm. Rims im looking are only come in -12 and +25. Might have to consider a different rim. Or spacer?

Now that I'm looking... It's tough to find ANYTHING with (numerically lower) than 4.5" backspacing. Even with aftermarket bumpers, people rub? Is it control arms?

Might look into a .75" spacer.

Trying to order them tonight!

Just food for thought, I run a 37x13.50 on a 17x9 with 4.25" and have no rubbing on full stuff or wheel locked both ways.

X 2. I have 35x12.50 with 4.75" BS and they rub on the front lower control arms.

4.5" should be fine. If you're getting 16 or 17" wheels, most will only come in 4.5". Less will usually cause less problems. However, that's not always useful info if the wheels you want only come in 4.5".

That actually wasnt true in my case. I was running 18x10 on 38x15.5's with 4.56 backspacing and never rubbed once. I did have a shorty bumper though.
