Trying to not get ripped off. Need help figuring out how many hours I should be looking to pay for each of these mods. They're going on a 2013 JKUR. Thanks in advance!

- AEV 3.5" RS lift kit
- 17x9 ATX Slabs (bead locks) with BFG AT/KO (315's) includling mounting, balancing and alignment
- AEV premium front bumper with skid plate and winch plate
- Front and rear diff covers
- Teraflex spare tire carrier (without the hinged part)
- C-gussets (weld on - front only)
- Inner Axle Sleeve Kit
- Inner Axle Seal Kit
- Rock-Slide Engineering rock sliders
- TERAFLEX JK EXHAUST SPACER KIT
- SYNERGY MFG JEEP JK HEAVY DUTY FRONT BALL JOINTS SET
- SYNERGY MFG JEEP JK DANA 44 LOWER CONTROL ARM SKID PLATE
- SYNERGY MFG JEEP JK HEAVY DUTY FRONT BALL JOINTS SET

Any guidance on how many hours I should expect to pay for each/all of these is greatly appreciated!

If you are paying a shop do the installation; WAY TOO MUCH.

I see you are in Reston. Google NovaJeepers. Sign up and host a wrenching party. For the price of beer and pizza, you will gain tons of knowledge, camaraderie, and help with installation. The lift, bumper, diff covers, tire carrier, rock sliders, and exhaust spacer are all easy installs (you should be able to find countless youtube install videos). If you don't have a driveway or tools, I'm sure someone would be more than happy to host for you (provided you bring the refreshments). Also, be prepared to get your hands dirty and learn a lot about your new jeep.

The ball joints are a little more involved, but definitely doable with the right tools.

The CA skids, gussets, and axle tubes will require someone with welding experience and a welder (obviously).

Mounting and balancing the tires; I would pay a shop to do that.

Unless you're disabled, i highly suggest you put on half of that stuff yourself. Im sure you can find local jeepers willing to help lend a hand ( for pizza and beer ). I installed the lift on my truck and that was my very first one, ended up being a 12inch Rize lift. Thing was wayyyy out of my league for a first timer, but it got done.

When i went over to a Jeep, me and a couple buddies installed one on one of theirs. Maybe we didn't read the directions combined with not even research, we sat there for almost 2 hours to get the front track bar aligned while the axle hanging there. LOL lets just say the next 3 lifts i installed didn't involve sitting there for 2 hours to get the track bars aligned.

Point being is you learn more about your own vehicle when you sit there to take the time and put stuff on vs having someone do it and then when a problem exist you go back to them and pay more money.

This is what I would plan for if I was doing the work... All as seperate items while some should be paired

- AEV 3.5" RS lift kit
8 hours

- 17x9 ATX Slabs (bead locks) with BFG AT/KO (315's) includling mounting, balancing and alignment
8 hours (beadlocks take time and are a bit of a PITA)

- AEV premium front bumper with skid plate and winch plate
3 hours

- Front and rear diff covers
1 Hour

- Teraflex spare tire carrier (without the hinged part)
0.25 hours

- C-gussets (weld on - front only)
4 hours (Most of this time is prep and waiting for small welds to cool)

- Inner Axle Sleeve Kit
I wouldn't install this

- Inner Axle Seal Kit
3-4 hours

- Rock-Slide Engineering rock sliders
???

- TERAFLEX JK EXHAUST SPACER KIT
I wouldn't install this

Note: Planing for and actual time are two different things. If I'm charging someone I always state that should I run into anything odd we may have to talk. I very rarely charge though. I'm usually helping buddies.

I just got off the phone with a buddy of mine who owns a shop. He's a good friend and I want him to get paid at least some for his time doing this for me. I literally have no time to help him nor do it myself because I'm out of town a ton for work. Question is, what's fair for him helping me out.

Regular shop to do an install around here would be about $80/hr so according to someone elses hours ( around 30 ) in here you're roughly looking at $2,400.

For a buddy to help you out and give you a discount, but still needs to make money would probably charge you $60/hr depending on how well you know them. Still looking at $1,800.

Why are you getting bead locks and are you prepared to check torque on them every few hundred miles? If you don't actually need bead locks I would suggest you get normal wheels instead
Why are you replacing the inner axle seals on a 2013? are they leaking?

If this is your friend that you want to help out by paying him why are you worried he is going to rip you off?

I would bet that if you looked at all of the install guides, you might find an indication of the install time-frames. Might be a good starting point for a worst case charge, then start removing a few hours here and there on the assumption that your shop will actually have a clue.

This is a bit excessive. I check mine every oil change and I find about 1 loose one a year.
