Default Rigid srq backup lights and spod help!!!!!!

So today I recieved my rigid SRQ backup light set Rigid Industries LED Lighting | LED Lights, Offroad, Marine, Truck Looking over the wiring from rigid it looks like the wiring kit has a 40 amp inline fuse and a 60 amp relay. I know with the spod I cut off the relay and other wiring and run the wires straight from the lights to the SPOD. From what I understand the SPOD can only handle up to a 30 amp fuse and a 40 amp relay. Is it possible to run these two lights to 1 switch on the spod or is it going to be too much power and if so will i have to use two switches then. Anyone with advice or help please respond ASAP. Thanks again - Anthony

Each of these lights only draws 1.4 amps and 20 watts so you could wire 15 of them on one switch.

Put both of them on one switch and you will be good.

The spod will run them fine. Mine were hooked up that way but are now tied to back up lights. I got tired of flipping the switch every time I was in reverse. Sent using smoke signals

Odd that they come with a 30A fuse and 40A relay. Re-using harnesses for the non-LED lights?

Better to have fuse pop than a relay

Of course. That is not what that comment was about. It was because the lights draw less than 2 amps.

He's also stating the spod comes with 30 amp fuses and 40 amp relays.

You're right. The 2 amp lights came with a 40A fuse and 60A relay.

no idea why they sent a fuse that big. The d2's I got a year ago came with a 15 amp fuse. Still too big. Maybe they buy fuses thinking people are going to run a 50 and a bunch of smaller lights on the same fuse. Couldn't tell you their reasoning.
