Default steering is a little squishy. Pitman arm issue???

So my Synergy ball joints were stiff and now that they are broke in, my steering feels a little squishy. I had the wife rock the steering wheel back and forth an inch or two and nothing seems to flex, but I can't tell if my pitman arm is flexing. I have a Synergy TR and steering link and those feel solid. I think I'm going to have to pull my brace off to check, but does this look like too much distance between my pitman arm?

Wouldn't hurt to check the torque on the nut think it's like 185 ft lbs

I was going to do that for sure, but hoped I could let it sit a while. Taking of the brace is going to be a PITA, just because of my busy schedule this week.
Thanks, guess I have to drive the CAR

Yeah I just looked at mine and there's not that much gap, like 1/4" or so.
No splines above pitman arm showing on shaft. IDK if the boxes are the same on a 09 and
My 13 ? Though.

Thanks. I'm not going to drive it until I find out. If it is loose, then I'm just wearing away at the teeth and I need to find out for sure it's torqued down.

Mine has only about a 1/4" gap as well.
Gotta love the steering quirk adventures we have to go on with these things!

It could be excess play in your steering box. Once the worm gear wears, it needs adjustment to keep the tolerance tight. Have someone wiggle the steering wheel back and forth while you loosen the 5/8th's nut, and carefully turn the Allen bolt, 1/8th of a turn at a time until the slack is gone. It won't take much to take the slack out. Drive it around the block after adjusting to make sure it's not too tight. You will notice the return to center after a turn won't work as good if you have it too tight due to the binding of the gears. Just a thought.
