Hit and miss on burning oil, usually if oil is changed every 3000 miles no problem. However jeep has not been running as much since at least June, been riding motorcycle to and from work. For example 1300 miles under when scheduled change was for 9/23/2011. And then usually try to hypermile when I do drive it, 1500 rpm's or below pretty much everywhere I go.

I seriously would pull and look at the number 6 plug before taking it in.
Also, I don't think your engine is going to like the 1500 rpm thing. It is designed to perform best a little higher. I just don't know that it will have great combustion at 1500. Pull that number 6 plug.

Well been awhile so finally took it to dealership because I mistakenly thought that changing all six plugs that if it was a cat converter issue that is was a federal warranty after six hours they comeback and say only cylinder six missfire and they would have take the engine apart to find out why. At whits end I have read about people changing PCM's (which I don't know what it is) or possibly the coil pack, fellow forum members I am not a gearhead, just a fireman with not enough time to spend with family let alone to form over for a new engine any suggestions of things I could try and possibly with the help of fellow fireman at my station could do
